A new way to help the Niagara Falls Public Library

Since we began fundraising for the renovated Stamford Centre Library location, the community has stepped up for us in a big way. The support has been so heartwarming and all of us at the library can’t thank everyone enough.

While the donations from the community have been amazing, there is still more fundraising to be done to reduce pressure on the library's reserve funds. Donating to the Stamford Centre Library project will mean there are more funds available for much needed projects for the rest of the library system.

Today we’re highlighting a great initiative from CanadaHelps. Every March, they share a Make it Monthly campaign for charities that use their platform and it’s really easy for you to get involved. First, head to our CanadaHelps page at nfpl.info/DonateToday. Then, set up a monthly donation of $20 or more at some point this month. Once you donate for at least three months, we’ll receive an extra $20 from CanadaHelps!

There are a lot of reasons why monthly donations are helpful for both you and the library. By setting up a monthly gift, you’re able to support the library all year (or as long as you choose to donate monthly). This reliable funding helps us better prepare for our upcoming projects and focus more on our mission. We can make better plans for the library when we know how much money will be donated every month.

Just as planning helps our budget, it can help yours as well. A monthly donation allows you to set the gift once and you don’t have to think about it again. Your donation is spread out through the year and you can modify or even cancel your monthly gift at any time by logging into your CanadaHelps account. Plus, as you’re getting your receipts ready for tax season this year, think of how much easier it will be next year with one single tax receipt for all your monthly donations to the library.

Once again, we have to thank you for the support you’ve shown for the Stamford Centre Library renovation project. The revitalized location will not only be larger but also more accessible so we can better serve all our customers. Your donations will help cover the costs of these necessary renovations and upgrades and will help make the new Stamford Centre Library location the best it can be.
