Missing our Stamford Centre library branch? We are too!

We are very excited to announce we are offering full library services and programming out of A.N. Myer high school. Come visit us Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3 to 6:30 p.m., browse some of our collection, pick up holds, and return and check out material.

We will also have programming available for all ages! We’re running a Family Storytime program on Mondays at 4 p.m. Families can participate in a fun, interactive storytime that will include songs, stories and hands-on activities.

Teens can check out our Afternoon Teen program on Wednesdays at 3 p.m. Come for the snacks, spill some tea, and stay to help build programs you want to see at your library. Play games, meet friends or just hang out.

For adults, we have our Crafternoons program running on Fridays at 4 p.m. Join other crafters, knitters, crocheters and artists for an afternoon of creating and learning.

For adults and seniors, we have some very exciting new programs at our other locations!

Stop by our weekly Short Story Social running Thursdays at 2 p.m. at the Victoria Avenue branch. Listen to one or two short stories while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and some great company.

Be sure to check out our Game Cafe running weekly on Fridays at 2 p.m. at the Chippawa branch. Join us for an afternoon of games, coffee, and laughs. Try your hand at Scrabble, Battleship, brain puzzles, card games and more.

Explore Italy’s culture through its cuisine. Join at the Victoria Avenue branch Mondays at 2 p.m. as we discuss the many different regional recipes that make the cooking of Italy so different. Come and share your own favourite or family Italian recipes.

Don’t miss out on our weekly DIY homemaking program at Victoria Avenue at 7 p.m. Learn how to make your own laundry detergent, hand soap and more all while saving money and time. Registration is required.

Cosy up in front of your fireplace or snuggle under a blanket with tea or hot cocoa (or even wine) in hand as we chat virtually with bestselling Canadian historical fiction author Genevieve Graham on Thursday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. This program held via Zoom and registration is required.
