The Niagara Falls Public Library values effective volunteers and welcomes applications for volunteers to assist the Board and Staff.

Please take a look at our volunteer policy before contacting us.

Visiting Library Service (Currently unavailable due to COVID. If interested, please submit an application and we will contact you when we are able to resume volunteer driven deliveries.)

Interested in bringing the library to others? Volunteers deliver materials to the homes of customers who can't make it to the library. A vehicle is required.

Teen Volunteers

Whether you're working on your community involvement hours, wanting to give back, or just looking for something to do, the library offers plenty of opportunities for teens 13 years and up. Join NFPL’s Teen Library Volunteers!

Reading Buddies Volunteers (Due to COVID, these programs are currently offered virtually)

Mentor children, grades 1-4, with reading practice and literacy-based activities or math practice and number literacy from October through June.

Other Opportunities

If you are interested in volunteering at in-person events, please submit an application and we will put you on our mailing list to be notified of opportunities as they become available.

Step 1: Print and fill out an application and submit it to the library. Applications can be sent to programming@nflibrary.ca or dropped off at any NFPL location.

Step 2: Wait for your approval email with the Signup Genius instructions.

Step 3: Visit our Signup Genius page and sign up for volunteer gigs at the library.
