 Katniss and Peeta survived the Hunger Games, even defying the Capitol in the process. Now they've returned together to District 12. But while Peeta has settled back into his life and even seems to be almost happy, Katniss finds herself at loose ends. She doesn't feel comfortable in her large new house, although her mother and sister are happy now and well fed. Gale doesn't talk to her anymore and her hunting is a solitary pursuit. But Katniss can't forget the horrors she witnessed in the Hunger Games and when she and Peeta must leave for their command performance Victory Tour of the other districts, those memories begin to haunt her even more.
