 What would you do if a stranger gave you something that turned out to be yours?
"Broken Soup" by Jenny Valentine is one of the best books I have read this year (and yes, I have read all of the "Twilight" series books this year). I would say it is appropriate reading for ages 13 and up.
Fifteen year old Rowan's family is a mess. Her family is torn apart in the aftermath of a family bereavement. Her parent's marriage has dissolved; her father has left, her mother is depressed to the point of being catatonic and Rowan has to put her own life on-hold as she struggles to take care of her six year old sister and make everything appear to be 'normal' to outsiders.
