     Bill began boxing at the age of 15. In his first six years as a boxer, he won 5 Ontario Championships. In 1987, Bill won a silver medal at the Canada Winter Games in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
     
     Bill received a silver medal in the 1988 Olympic Trials, losing out to a two time Olympian. In 1989 Bill competed in the Canadian Championships in Vancouver and returned home to Niagara Falls with the Canadian Lightweight title, the first boxer from Niagara Falls to win a Canadian title since 1950.
     
     Bill has been a member of the Canadian National Team competing with the team all over the world.
