Sir Adam Beck Generating Station #1

Construction on this station began in 1917 and was completed by the end of 1921. At the time of its opening, it was the largest hydro-electric generating station in the world.
Formerly known as the Queenston-Chippawa Power Development, the station was renamed in 1950 to honour Sir Adam Beck, who was instrumental in the development of the project.
The station was constructed by the Hydro-Electric Power Commission of Ontario, and is operated by its successor, Ontario Power Generation.

Robert Moses Generating Station

- Capacity: 2,275 MW + 300 MW Pumping station
The destruction of the Schoellkopf Power Station prompted the New York State Power Authority to build this station, as part of the Niagara Power Project, which also included road and park developments.
Construction began in March, 1957 and the station opened in January 1961. It is the largest generating station on the Niagara River.
The station continues to be owned and operated by the New York Power Authority.
