Notes  Description on back: The grandeur and loveliness of the Niagara Falls in summer is replaced in winter by a not less majestic but more forbidding aspect. The mighty sweep of the waters does not allow of any formation of ice in the rapids above or below the falls, but at the edges of the river, in the shallows, snows of heaven descend to add their pure white to the glistening green of the rushing waters, the deep purple of the ice behind the flowing curtain and the brilliant hues of the giant icicles reflecting the rays of the sun. And however long a visitor may linger, new beauties will presnt themselves, and the greater will be his appreciation with every moment.
