| Niagara Falls Heritage Foundation Government of Canada Local Initiatives Grant AK 2403-9 1974 - 1975 ; Artistic recreation based on the orignal by James Cockburn at the Royal Ontario Museum Toronto ; Research by George Seibel ; "The road built by Clark and Street in 1825 cost $5,000 and was paved with cobble stones. It had a hairpin bend two thirds of the way down. This bend remains today much as it was when built, the stone retaining wall is there but the cobble stones have been covered over iwth blacktop" excerpt from "Niagara Falls Canada : a History" published 1967 ; |
