Title | Digging out a school bus, the Blizzard of 77 in the Niagara area |
| Type
| Still Image |
| Creator
| St Catharines Standard |
| Notes
| "The Bus was either route 2 or 3. It serviced the area north of Hwy 20 in Pelham taking kids from the rural areas of North Pelham and Rockway to E.W. Farr and Pelham Centre. In taking kids home the bus got stuck twice before this but was pulled out by municipal snowplows. The Bus finally got stuck on Tice road near Lookout golf course with 15-20 kids still on board. The driver and all the children walked to a nearby brick farmhouse (230 Tice?) where they stayed the night and were picked up and driven home on snowmobiles the next day." Submitted by Ryan Hanlin |
