Notes  Captain Robert H Dee an officer with Sir Peregrine Maitland built this house in 1824. It originally consisted of four roooms. It is beleieved that Captain Dee served with Sir Peregrine Maitland at the Battle of Waterloo in 1813;

Notes  Before 1900 this building was home to Darker's Dry Goods. It was known as the Woodruff Block after it's owner George Woodruff. Prior to that, the Purcello used the building. In 1900 a Mr Morphy operated a dry goods store there for a few years before moving the business which specialized in Irish linens to Bridge St. Thorburn's Drug Store occupied the premises for many years. It is currently (2004) occupied by a Pawn Shop ;

Notes  Austin Morse a cabinet maker arrived in Drummondville in 1826. He soon combined his trade with undertaking, a not uncommon practice in early 19th century settlements. The business was carried on by his descendants for many years. It is still (2004) in operation under the name Morse & Son Chapel and Morgan Funeral Homes ;
