Title  Niagara Parks Police removing Peter DeBernardi from cable attached to Spanish Aero Car Creator  Bailey, George Notes  On the 9th of September 1990 Peter Debernardi along with Wayne J Harris attempted to hang a Canadian flag from one of the Spanish AeroCar's cables, some 200 feet above the Whirlpool Rapids. He attached himself to the cable by means of a harness and pulley. He then planned to roll himself out to the midpoint of the cable, attach the flag, and then expected to be rescued by the cable car.
