If your ancestors were scattered over a wide geographic area it may be possible to find a volunteer who will do limited research in specific areas. A great website for finding a volunteer is called "Random Acts Of Genealogical Kindness". It includes a listing by Canadian province of volunteers and the research they are prepared to do for you.
