Adventures with Bruce - Minus the blisters; celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Bruce Trail Conservancy with Steve Hainsworth as he takes you on an 885km audio/visual journey along Canada's oldest and longest trail, the Bruce Trail. It took the self-styled adventure-journalist, and passionate backcountry explorer, Hainsworth 30 days plus 10 rest days to walk the Trail, “tramping, sloshing and squishing” his way from Queenston to Tobermory.
Join us for this unique presentation on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2at 6:30pm in the LaMarsh Room of the Victoria Avenue Library. There is no charge but advance registration is required. Please call 905-356-8080 to register, or register in-person at any library location. Steve will be selling copies of his book, Adventures with Bruce following the presentation. The book’s many colour photographs will appeal to anyone who has lived or wandered upon the great Escarpment.
Box Office Tuesday at Chippawa on October 2nd presents “The best exotic Marigold Hotel” following a star cast of British pensioners (Judi Dench, Maggie Smith and Tom Wilkinson)) who decide retiring in India will be less expensive and perhaps exotic. It is rated PG – and please note the **5:45pm start time**
