Some registrations are still being taken for the March Break programs at all four libraries. For details and pre- registration come in person, or telephone 905-356-4053, or visit www.nflibrary.ca.

These inexpensive programs fill quickly so don’t delay. Some events are free and the most expensive ticket is just $3. Here are some of the highlights.

Mary Lambert, Ontario’s two-time Juno Award nominee and Parent’s Choice Award winner, will perform live at Community Centre Branch Library.

London Reptiles brings to all four libraries a traveling show of live reptiles for a fun, interactive, hands-on presentation.

Splash n’ Boots, the 2007 Children’s Music Group of the Year, will perform live at the Victoria Avenue Library.

Also scheduled there during the week will be craft programs such as woodcarving, cake decorating, anime, table centerpieces and candle-making. See the films Spiderwick Chronicles and Madagascar 2.

Chippawa, Stamford and Community Centre branch libraries have a variety of storytime and craft programs. These include beading, painting, memo boards, diaries and treasure chests.

Those ten years and older can learn about proper skin care from a professional at Stamford Branch.

Children 4 years and older will enjoy a free movie and popcorn at Chippawa Branch.

For many programs, children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult, admission prices are for both children and adults, no strollers are permitted in the program room and some registrations are limited so register soon.

The Funtastic Family Story Time continues at the Victoria Avenue Library on the last Thursday of each month at 6:30pm. These theme based events are for the whole family to enjoy together include stories, songs, rhymes, games, a craft and short film.

Register now for our spring programs which start the week of April 6 at all four libraries and mark your calendars for the fifth annual Niagara Falls Family Literacy Event on April 4 at the MacBain Community Centre.

View the art gallery exhibition, see all the displays, use the Early Literacy workstations and borrow some interesting children’s books, magazines, videos, DVDs, CDs and story cassettes.

Children are encouraged to visit the Kids Corner of the library’s website www.nflibrary.ca to see fun stuff for different age groups, favourite book characters, homework help and the library catalogue and programs.
