As some of you know, the library has an Advantage eBook collection that is available exclusively to our patrons. Now you can find some of these titles listed in our actual catalogue. We have a small but growing “Advantage” collection that you can access through www.nflibrary.ca. When you get the search screen of the catalogue look for the helpful listings of various collections listed in green. On the left side is EBooks. Click it and it will take you to another screen —the second listing on the left is Overdrive Advantage NFPL. Click on this and it will take you to a listing of 38 titles as of this moment. More records are being added all the time. Click on the title you wish to borrow. The presentation for the April 3rd Box Office Tuesday at Chippawa will be the 2011 feature, “The Adventures of Tintin” based on the series of comic albums created by Belgian artist Hergé (Georges Remi). Beginning in 1929, this series was one of the most popular comics (graphic novels) of the 20th century and translated into more than 50 languages. They have been adapted over the years for radio, television, film and theatre and are noteworthy not only for their stories but their satirical, cultural commentary. The library has several of the books available. Tintin is the young, intrepid reporter who along with his faithful dog, Snowy gets involved in adventures and intrigue all over the planet. Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis, and Daniel Craig star in this story as they set off on a treasure hunt to locate the lost ship of Captain Haddock’s ancestor. Directed by Steven Spielberg, produced by Peter Jackson and with music by John Williams, the film has received generally positive reviews including a Best Animated Feature...
