Rosberg Gallery and Display Cases – General Information

The public art space in the Victoria Avenue Library of the Niagara Falls Public Library is available for artists for the purpose of exhibiting their work. Art exhibits give artists an opportunity to exhibit and/or sell their work, enhance the environment of the Library, and encourage residents to visit the Library. The display cases are for smaller exhibits which may include art, memorabilia or exhibits of local interest.

Applications are processed on a first come basis with priority given to local exhibitors. Residence in Niagara Falls is not required, but may be considered in the approval process. No artist or group is guaranteed the same booking time each year. At the discretion of the Library, an exception may be made to permit a local organization to sponsor a unique event, especially in connection with a community celebration. The Library reserves the right to accept or refuse an art exhibit or to cancel any booking at its discretion.

Individuals or groups interested in exhibiting should submit an application on the form provided, including a biographical resume, information on the mediums used, the list of artworks or items and selling prices or values (for insurance purposes) and some samples (digital images, CD or photographs) of the works being presented. Only the items specifically mentioned in this list will be covered. The exhibit list should be sufficient to adequately cover the gallery.

Art exhibits are only open to the Public during Library hours.
The Library may arrange for some publicity on the Library website, through Library Blogs or regular newspaper columns with the information provided in the application. Any other publicity is the responsibility of the exhibitor. A formal opening or event, by the Artist, at their own expense may be arranged for a time and date that is available and not previously booked for other Library events.
The Gallery may be used by the Library for other events or meetings at any time, which may restrict gallery access for short time periods.

Submissions or questions should be addressed to the Chief Librarian,  Monika Seymour
